Falls Prevention

Helping older people maximise safety and minimise the risk of a fall in their daily activities.

The Falls Prevention Service provides comprehensive falls prevention assessment and referral into a range of community programs to assist older people in maximising their safety and minimising the risk of falls.

Falls Clinical Services

Home and centre based assessment and management of falls and falls risk by specialist clinicians for people living in the community. Clients can be self referred or referred by a local doctor or service providers. Home visits are arranged to assist the client to develop an individual program to address issues around falls and safety.

Falls Prevention/Early Intervention programs

A free educational booklet “A Guide to Preventing Falls” is available for individuals. Contact the Falls Prevention Service to obtain a copy of the booklet.

Community groups can access free Falls Prevention talks by contacting the Falls Prevention Service.
