About the Rosebud Rehabilitation Unit

The 30 bed Rosebud Rehabilitation Unit specialises in rehabilitation services for clients recovering from conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, orthopaedic disorders, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and other diseases causing disabilities.

Services include:

  • Rehabilitation (including physiotherapy, speech pathology and occupational therapists)
  • Prosthetics
  • Social work

A medical assessment will be conducted prior to admission into the rehabilitation unit.On admission, a personally tailored rehabilitation program will be arranged for each client, in consultation with the client and their family.

Client progress is closely monitored by the rehabilitation team and on discharge, ongoing therapy programs provided by Community Rehabilitation Centres and other Peninsula Health Services can be organised.

The Rosebud Rehabilitation Unit is located next to the Rosebud Community Rehabilitation Centre.

Visiting hours

Family members are welcome to visit any time up until 8.30pm. Patients who are in Rehabilitation or Evaluation and Management attend therapy during the day (8.30am – 3.30pm).

Family members are encouraged to discuss with the team their participation in the therapy program.  This should be done prior to attending during therapy times.
