Antenatal and Postnatal Suites
6.30am – 1.30pm
3.30pm – 8.30pm
The ward is strictly closed to ALL visitors between 1:30pm and 3:30pm
Women have the option to express a ‘No Visitors’ request at any time during their stay
It is therefore advisable for visitors to ensure access will be allowed prior to arrival.
Visiting during ward closure is by pre-arrangement only.
Children visiting the ward are to be supervised at all times and should not be left unattended by partners or visitors
Partners and visitors who are unwell should refrain from accessing the ward to avoid the spread of possible infectious illness to mothers and babies.
To ensure patient comfort a maximum of 4 visitors at any one time is advised.
8am – 1pm Immediate family
2.30 – 7pm General visiting
1 – 2.30pm Rest period strictly no visitors
Coronary Care Unit & Ward 5FS
10am – 12 noon
4 – 8pm
A strict rest period between 1.30 – 3.30pm
Flowers – one bowl of flowers per patient only.
Sweets and food – please check with registered nurse in charge.
General Wards, Surgical Unit 2 & Short Stay Unit
Mental Health Services
1 West A : 4 – 8pm Monday to Friday
2 West : 4 – 8.30pm Monday to Friday
Both 1 West A and 2 West Wards :
10am – 8pm Weekends and public holidays.
Intensive Care Unit
Visiting hours are at the discretion of the Nurse Unit Manager.
Acute Observation Ward
2.30 – 8pm
Cardiac Investigation Unit/Thoracic Medicine
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 9am – 3.30 pm

The Mornington Centre offers patient-centred care and family members are welcome to visit at any time. Patients who are in Rehabilitation or Evaluation and Management usually attend therapy during the day (8.30am – 3.30pm). Family members are encouraged to discuss with the team their participation in the therapy program. This should be done prior to attending during therapy times.
