It’s important that all patients, carers and visitors have access to clear, concise and relevant information across all our service areas.

To ensure patients receive the best care possible, patients should understand their rights and responsibilities as they relate to quality and safe healthcare. To help ensure this, the Health Service actively implements an information program to advise patients of their rights and responsibilities during their time within our services.

These are regularly communicated through one-on-one interactions between staff and patients, as well as through a number of brochures, posters, publications and other communications materials, which are easily accessible across all sites.

The Health Service is also committed to keeping the community fully informed on how it delivers safe, high quality health care. The Quality of Care Report and Annual Report summarises Peninsula Health’s achievements, challenges and initiatives and also highlights issues and activities that are important to the local community.
