Keeping kids fit, for a good cause

“I beat the train”, said six year old Millie.

Give the gift of care

We are so excited about the success of first annual Kids’ Fun Run with K163!

The spectacular weather brought more than 600 people to the Moorooduc Railway Station for a day of family fun and fitness.

250 budding Olympians ran against K163 the historic stream engine to raise funds for our very own Frankston Hospital kids ward.

“I was very excited to do the race and I beat the train!” said six-year-old Millie Smith.

Eight year old Alex Polatidis said “My brother and I were really happy to take part in the Fun Run, our family sponsored us and everyone came to cheer”.

“What a great way to keep my children active and learning about supporting the local community,” said Millie’s mum, Karen. “We look forward to running again next year.”

The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Mount Eliza in partnership with the Mornington Railway. More than $15,000 has been donated so far and counting – hopefully with more to come.

The donation page is open until Sunday, 1 May. Proceeds from the event will help us to purchase state-of-the-art child friendly beds for Frankston Hospital. Kids running for kids.
