Medical support includes a HMO, a Registrar and a Consultant who is FChPM.

Experience and Training

The RAPCS program provides excellent training in Rehabilitation Medicine, Geriatrics (Aged Care) Medicine, and Palliative Care at Intern, HMO and Registrar level. Close interaction and supervision exists with the Senior Medical Staff in all 3 disciplines. Weekly in-service teaching sessions and Morbidity/Mortality meetings provide a forum for both tutorial type and interactive teaching sessions. The current Registrars are both preparing for their respective College examinations. The HMO/Intern positions are ideal for doctors interested in pursuing careers in Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Medicine, as well as General Practice. AMC candidates (Post Part 1) also find these appointments very beneficial, both in terms of exam preparation for Part 11, as well as adjusting to the style of medicine practised in Australia, under the direct and close supervision of Senior Medical Staff and Registrars.
