HMO - Emergency Medicine 

Welcome to the Department of Emergency Medicine.

The department currently has a senior medical staff comprising twelve Emergency Physicians, a Paediatrician, two General Practitioners and eleven specialist emergency physicians in training.

The academic appointees include three Senior Lecturers, two Lecturers under the guidance of the Director of Emergency Medicine, Associate Professor Jeff Wassertheil.

The Emergency Department treats around 50,000 patients per year. The Department of Emergency Medicine has a formal academic affiliation with the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University and is accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) for Advanced Vocational Training and for ACEM Paediatric training requirements.
