Some local services for those under 16 are available at Peninsula Health Community Health and headspace. The Peninsula Health Paediatrics department provides Development and Behavioural Disorder Clinics for young children – see Child and Young Adult Clinics section in Outpatient Services.
Community Health Counselling

Peninsula Headspace Frankston
Peninsula Headspace is an early intervention health service for young people aged 12-25 years and aims to reduce the impact of mental health issues and substance abuse on the lives of young people and their families. Headspace can help with general health, mental health, alcohol and other drug concerns, counselling, education, employment and other services.
Headspace is not part of Peninsula Health Mental Health Service but works closely with the Service to ensure collaborative and inclusive care provision.
headspace Youth Early Psychosis Program (hYEPP)
Specialised psychiatrists and other mental health professionals provide comprehensive assessment, case management and assertive outreach for 12-25 year olds presenting with symptoms and signs of psychosis or who are at high risk for developing psychosis.
