Reaccreditation information for GP Shared Carers

  • Important changes have been made to the structure of the Peninsula Health Shared Maternity Care Program
  • From January 2011 all GP affiliates must undergo reaccreditation each triennium.
  • In order to qualify for reaccreditation all affiliates must meet the following requirements,
  • a minimum of 10 category 2 CPD points or equivalent from activities relating to pregnancy care, pre pregnancy care, post natal period and neonatal care
  • AND
  • attendance at a minimum of 1 and up to 3 supervised Antenatal Sessions per triennium
  • Falure to meet these requirements will result in removal from the Peninsula Health Shared Maternity Care Program. All reaccreditations will be reviewed by the Peninsula Health Shared Maternity Care Program Committee prior to approval.

Maternity Education Forums
