 Anti-D Immunoglobulin Patient Consent Trial Medical Record Form This form is being trialled for use at Peninsula Health and your patients may bring it to you to have the administration of their Anti-D documented. Alternatively you can initiate use of this form for your patients. Feedback on how this form works for you and your patients would be appreciated.

Obstetric Ultrasound Services

Peninsula Health offers a wide range of Ultrasound services. Highly skilled staff use state-of-the-art facilities to provide foetal well-being assessments, gynaecological, vascular, abdominal, musculoskeletal and small parts ultrasound.

Using a specialised foetal diagnostic reporting package, sonographers are able to cumulate data to display over consecutive appointments, and morphology scans also include a complimentary DVD.

Peninsula Health Shared Maternity Care Program Information

Information for GP Shared Carers

Important changes are being made to the structure of the Peninsula Health Shared maternity Care Program

From February 2010, while the current program is in transition the following administrative requirements will apply to all current Shared Maternity Care affiliates

1)      All current affiliates must inform Peninsula Health if they wish to remain as part of the Shared Maternity Care Program by emailing avanwamel@phcn.vic.gov.au

2)      Complete a Reaccreditation form

3)      Provide a current copy of your Medical Board Registration and a certified copy of your Medical Indemnity Insurance

 From January 2011 all GP affiliates must undergo reaccreditation each triennium.

In order to qualify for reaccreditation all affiliates must meet the following requirements,

  • a minimum of 10 category 2 CPD points or equivalent from activities relating to pregnancy care, pre pregnancy care, post natal period and neonatal care

AND

  • attendance at a minimum of 1 and up to 3 supervised Antenatal Sessions per triennium

Falure to meet these requirements will result in removal from the Peninsula Health Shared Maternity Care Program. All reaccreditations will be reviewed by the Peninsula Health Shared Maternity Care Program Committee prior to approval.

From 2011 Peninsula Health will provide local learning opportunities for affiliates that attract CPD points at least 3 times per year, in the form of meetings and educational forums. These meetings will also provide an opportunity for affiliates to feedback on the running of the program.
