Continuing Education and Development Unit 

The Continuing Education and Development Unit offers an extensive range of education opportunities and support for all nursing staff, provided by a team of specially qualified Nurse Educators. Services are provided both within the acute and sub-acute areas.

Acute:

All clinical areas within Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals

Sub-Acute (Community and Continuing Care & Allied Health):

All clinical areas within Mt. Eliza, Golf Links Road, Jean Turner/Lotus Lodge, Rosebud Rehabilitation Unit

Graduate Programs

The Continuing Education and Development Unit currently offers graduate programs in the following areas; General, Mental Health and Midwifery. Postgraduate Programs

A variety of Postgraduate Programs are provided at Peninsula Health and incorporate such areas as Acute Medical/Surgical, Critical Care, Emergency, Midwifery, Intensive Care and Peri-operative. For more comprehensive information please follow the link above.

Continuing Education Program

The Continuing Education and Development Unit conducts a variety of specific study days/programs which address the learning needs of all Nurses and Midwives within Peninsula Health. These include areas such as Intravenous Cannulation, Advanced and Basic life support, ECG interpretation, Perineal suturing, Epidural pain management. Clinical Placements – Undergraduates
