The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a sub committee of Peninsula Health Board and is made up of community members, Board members, Chief Executive and representatives of the Health Service.
The community members bring their own diverse experience and knowledge, and share a common interest in the provision of health care and advise the Board and Chief Executive on priority areas and issues requiring consumer and community participation, and on matters of community interest or concern. The community members help ensure that the community is informed about Peninsula Health services.
The CAC participates in the development of Peninsula Health’s Strategic Plan and the Quality of Care Report. Other activities include assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of the Community Participation Plan 2010-2013, representing a consumer voice on other Peninsula Health committees, participating in conferences and forums.
The CAC is supported by a number of Community Advisory Groups.
