Peninsula Health has a number of Community Advisory Groups that bring the consumer and community perspective into Peninsula Health.
Each Community Advisory Group has been established in response to the diverse needs of our community. Members of the groups include consumers/carers (Consumer Representatives) as well as key Peninsula Health staff. In addition to this some groups have a number of local Service Provider Representatives, for example the Royal District Nursing Service or Brotherhood of Saint Lawrence.
The Community Advisory Groups enable two way communication between Peninsula Health and the broader community. The Consumer Representatives provide advice on specific matters of consumer, carer and community interest or concern. The Consumer Representatives also help to inform the community about what is happening at Peninsula Health.
Each Community Advisory Group provides opportunity for information sharing, robust discussion and learning. The Community Advisory Groups report to the Peninsula Health Community Advisory Committee.
