CAC Member Profiles 

Winston McKean (Chair) is a qualified medical practitioner and has previously worked in the field of Public Health in New Zealand. He held a number of positions at both regional and a national level.
            
Jan Brookes has been a resident of Mt Eliza for the last 25 years and is a retired teacher in the field of Disability. Jan has had experience with the Department of Education and the Department of Human Services.
                       
Alan Collins has worked on the Community Advisory Committee and the Peninsula Health Ethics Committee for the last two years. A retired Uniting Church Minister, Alan helped to establish Life Line in Ballarat and was active in social welfare issues.
 
Gus De Groot has been a resident of Frankston since 1952. Gus has owned and operated his own business for the last 23 years. Gus has been actively involved with numerous charities and is a regular volunteer at a local nursing home. His interest is in medication safety and pharmacy.
 
Clair Duffus has been a volunteer for RosebudHospital for the last 14 years. She is the Founder and President of the RosebudHospital Op Shop and the President of the RosebudHospital Pink Ladies. She is also the President of the MorningtonPeninsula Hinterland Tourism Association. Clair has owned and managed a bed and breakfast in Flinders for the last 15 years.
 
Wayne Gibbons has lived in Frankston for over 50 years. He has previously worked with Telstra in a career which spanned 37 years. Wayne is also a member of the Stage 2A Dust Committee, which will work to reduce the amount of dust that enters FrankstonHospital during its $45m expansion.
 
Christine Hunt is a retired pharmacist who moved to Mornington in 1960. Christine has owned and operated pharmacies in Mornington and the South Rosebud. Christine is married with two sons, a daughter and five grandchildren.
                                               
Carmel Jackson has been a resident of Frankston for 45 years. Carmel works as a Carer Consultant within the Peninsula Health Psychiatric Service. Carmel has been actively involved in raising the profile of mental illness issues in the community.
 
Cameron Nottingham is a student at PaduaCollege who has an interest in health care and wishes to pursue a career in the sector.
 
Marilyn Rowe has 15 years of experience working in hospital administration. After retiring, Marilyn moved to Frankston to be near family. She decided to pursue a voluntary activity that would benefit the community, and chose Peninsula Health as one of her interests.
           
Rohan Sharp has been a resident of Rye for the last seven years. Rohan previously worked in the IT industry, and is now the Manager of Capel Sound Foreshore. Rohan is the father of two teenagers.
 
Dereen Wallace is a long term resident of Frankston. Dereen is an accountant and has worked for local firm Flinders Partners Group for the past 30 years. She is the mother of three adult sons, and a grandmother.
