The Healthy Community Appeal provides an essential link through which the community can contribute directly to any of the facilities operated by Peninsula Health so that we in turn continue to provide high quality services.
Your Will gives you a unique opportunity to leave a lasting legacy and provide for those you love.
Everyone over the age of 18 should have a legal Will, however many people put off creating a Will for all sorts of reasons.
Your bequest will help to provide enhanced services, resulting in a healthier community on the Mornington Peninsula. The major areas of specialty care Peninsula Health provides, and which your bequest can benefit, are:
Support for the aged, infirm and frail through our Aged and Palliative Care Service
Rehabilitation programs so people of all ages can enjoy their life to the full
Crisis counselling and Psychiatric services to patients in need
Community education programs on important health and lifestyle issues
Medical, Maternity and Surgical services at Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals
In addition to its provision of high quality, cost effective patient and client care, Peninsula Health is known for its excellence in health promotion, health education, teaching and research.
By leaving a bequest in your Will to Peninsula Health you will be building a healthier community and saving lives – the most wonderful gift you can give.
It is preferable that bequests are earmarked for general use, as areas of need change constantly. However, if you wish, your bequest may be used for a specific purpose.
Your bequest to Peninsula Health, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you wish to make a bequest, you can use the following wording as a guide. Alternatively, you can seek assistance from your solicitor or accountant for guidance.
“I bequeath to (insert the name of the service or facility) operated by
Peninsula Health (for its general purposes) or (its research and
education) or (for patient care and treatment) (a specific sum), or
(specific items), or (the residue of my estate) free of all duties for
which the written acknowledgment of the Chief Executive Officer of
Peninsula Health shall be sufficient discharge. If Peninsula Health
ceases to exist this legacy shall not fail but my Executors shall pay
it to the charitable organisation which they consider most nearly
fulfils the object that I intend to benefit.”
If you decide to make a bequest to Peninsula Health please let us know. Too often we only get to hear of a donor's generosity and thoughtfulness after their passing. We value your generosity and we would like to keep you up to date on the innovations, improvements, and successes that have resulted from the donations of others.
An on-line version of our brochure is available for you to print. You will find an Acceptance Form which you can complete and return to Peninsula Health. This will inform us of your intention to make a bequest.
